365 #25 Eating in Istanbul - Eggplant loving

One of my favorite dishes from one of my favorite cafes in town - The House Cafe.

Turkish Meatballs on Aubergine Purée.
That dollop of white in the middle? Strained yoghurt.
And the bright yellow drops? Cayenne pepper infused melted butter.
The surprise element? Melted cheese blended in with the aubergine.

  1. One of these days, I really need to learn more about how to cook eggplants. This just looks divine. I can't wait to go on an eating fest with you when I'm in Istanbul. But I think I should start by losing some weight first! I don't know how you can be so skinny being a foodie and all.

    1. Oh, we'll walk all the calories off! Don't worry! :))

I need to warn you though that I need to eat every three hours. And not unlike a brat, I get in a really, really, reaaaaally bad mood when I'm hungry. But I try to have almonds in my bag all the time so I don't aggravate and turn off people around me by being incredibly uncommunicative and b*tchee. Are you the same? Many of my (Malaysian) girl friends have this problem too :))

And that skinny thing? I just choose very good pictures for this blog...
